We arrived earlier than planned and was greeted by Jacqui who made us feel very welcome on site and settled us onto our pitch. She gave us plenty of ideas to fill our few days and places to fill us up too.
The facilities were outstanding, the cleanest I’ve ever been in on a camp site (female and male - husband informs me on the male side). The site was also very quiet, something we like so an added bonus too.
Pitches were well maintained and marked.
The Hideout is a good cycle ride to Street or minutes in a car, Street was lovely to browse around.
The Pig and Wheel just up the road were very welcoming too.

Stunning location, beautifully clean facilities and super friendly hosts. Jackie was very helpful in sending over some ideas for things to do in the local area before we arrived and we got more recommendations while we were there. We only stayed for a weekend but wish it could have been longer! Couldn’t have asked for more and hope to stay again. Thank you!

Don’t want to tell anyone about “The Hideout”, what a gem of a site. We booked for two nights, but stayed for five, a very clean and friendly site with en-suite shower facilities, on arrival we were greeted by Jackie who couldn’t do enough for us.

Exceptional and 5* campsite. Owners were extremely friendly & helpful. Facilities 5*+. Showers/toilets very high standard and immaculately clean.

The hosts were friendly, welcoming and helpful. They met us on arrival and showed us the facilities before taking us to our pitch. The pitch was large and well kept with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and very quiet and peaceful. The facilities are of a high standard and always spotlessly clean.
The site is really well situated for exploring all that Somerset has to offer.
Thank you for great stay, we plan to return.

Just book this site!! Everything! Nothing to dislike , hosts are super friendly , site is peaceful and immaculate , showers & toilets are ALWAYS clean whatever time of day and a joy to use. Drinking water available behind every pitch , 5* rating from us .

This is amazing. We are pitched facing west and have seen some stunning sunsets. It's convenient to access road links to all the local amenities and attractions. A short drive takes you to beaches, Cheddar Gorge, Chew Valley Lakes, Glastonbury, Street and Clarks Village. If you're into birdwatching, then Steart Marshes, Ham Wall, Shapwick Heath and many other local reserves are close by. The hosts, Jackie and Glyn are friendly and attentive. It is so peaceful and definitely one to come back to, if Boris doesn't lock us in again. All necessary Covid protections are in place, and the facilities are clean and fresh. Camping here is the ideal way to getaway, and stay a safe distance from others.

Wonderful facilities and a lovely welcome. We have stayed in a lot of camp sites but this one definitely rates as one of the best. The owners clearly make a lot of effort, met us on arrival and gave us their time and advice on local pubs. Toilet/shower rooms are really nice, kept very clean. Sadly we were only there for one night so charging phones wasn't an issue but great to have a facility to charge up phones if needed. Pitches are a very generous size also, on very well kept ground.

Loved this site, Jackie and her husband are very welcoming and chilled. They gave us great tips on places to go and eat. The site and facilities are spotless, with the nicest grass we've ever camped on. 🙂

The owners are extremely friendly and welcomed us at the door. We made a last minute booking but this was no trouble at all and they were on hand to help with anything we needed. The most clean facilities and the park was immaculate.

This campsite is absolutely spotless and the facilities are superb. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. It's a great spot if you want to explore Glastonbury, Somerset and/or Exmoor.

A small, but beautiful site. Owners Jackie and Glyn couldn’t be more welcoming and helpful, even fixing broken water pipe on van for me. Spent a fabulous 4 nights with my 3 year old grandson. Site is lovely and peaceful, a perfect place for family time. Whole site is immaculate and toilets/shower are 5*. Will definitely go back.
